Turtle Sense/Phase One

==STATUS== As of Nov 16, 2013

• NH138 Unit #2 installed sensor and comm head 11/15. Audio indicates viable nest but turtles are lethargic
• NH144 Unit #3 installed comm head 11/15. No sounds. May not be a viable nest.

Unit #1 will stay in the lab for testing since there are probably no more viable nests to monitor this season.

• NH134 8/12/13 Sensor, no Comm Tower, Excavated 11/12/13 (113 unhatched eggs and one live hatchling, hatched but didn't emerge from the nest)
• NH137 8/12/13 Unit #3 x3448 (hardware=V3 software=V17), Excavated 11/12/13 (165 eggs in the nest 158 were undeveloped)
• NH144 8/21/13 Unit #2 x1348 (hardware=V2 software=V13), actively monitoring nest
• NH145 8/30/13 Sensor, no Comm Head

DEBUGGING

• Oct 30. Unit #3 goes dark after ~ 10 transmissions, then resets ~ one day later. Called phone; 5 rings "I'm sorry the person you have called has a voice mail box not set up yet, goodbye"
• Oct 21. Called Strait Talk phone support re; Unit #2 phone; Message says “need to program some codes into my Straight Talk phone”
